This brand-new event with Broads Tours brings together smooth summer sax, laid-back Ibiza-style sounds and one of the most beautiful settings in Norfolk. It is the perfect way to stretch the weekend just a little longer and enjoy a Sunday evening on the water.

How Sax on a Sunday Started
The idea for Sax on a Sunday came after I was invited by one of my photographer friends Alannah Harding Photography to perform at an event at the end of April.
Live sax on the water, people relaxing, the Broads looking beautiful and that really lovely mix of chilled atmosphere and feel-good energy.
That event sparked a lot of interest, and from there we decided to launch our own Alex Rimell boat trips with Broads Tours.
And just like that, Sax on a Sunday was born.
The aim was simple: create a relaxed summer evening event that felt a little different. Something social, musical and memorable, without feeling too formal or too full-on.
Aboard Cordon Rouge with Broads Tours
Sax on a Sunday takes place aboard Cordon Rouge, one of the passenger boats operated by Broads Tours in Wroxham.
Broads Tours are one of the best-known ways to experience the Norfolk Broads from the water. Based in Wroxham, they offer award-winning river trips, day boat hire and special events that allow visitors to sit back, relax and enjoy one of Norfolk’s most iconic landscapes.
Wroxham is often seen as a gateway to the Broads, making it the perfect starting point for a summer evening river cruise. There is something really special about stepping aboard, leaving the marina behind and watching the scenery slowly open up around you.
For Sax on a Sunday, the experience is even more atmospheric, with live saxophone creating the soundtrack as you cruise through one of Britain’s most beautiful waterways.
What to Expect from Sax on a Sunday
Sax on a Sunday is designed to be relaxed, stylish and easy to enjoy.
Guests board at Wroxham Marina before the cruise departs at 5pm, with boarding beginning around 15 minutes before departure. On arrival, guests receive a complimentary glass of fizz before settling in for a two-hour evening cruise.
The music is all about chilled summer energy.
Expect smooth saxophone, soulful classics, laid-back lounge sounds and Ibiza-style sax tracks that suit the setting perfectly. It is not a formal concert, and it is not a full nightclub-style party. It sits somewhere in the middle, giving you atmosphere, energy and live music while still allowing you to chat, enjoy the views and take in the evening.
There is also a fully licensed onboard bar, so guests can enjoy drinks throughout the cruise.
The Perfect Sunday Evening Plan
A Sunday evening can often feel like the weekend is already over, but Sax on a Sunday gives you one last moment to slow down and enjoy it.

The cruise runs from 5pm to 7pm, with boarding beginning approximately 15 minutes before departure from Broads Tours’ Wroxham Marina.
Advance booking is essential, as capacity is limited to just 60 passengers.
