This June I headed north for a really special milestone, my very first Scottish wedding! And what a way to start. Aimee & Alasdair tied the knot at the stunning Logie Country House, a historic estate surrounded by rolling Aberdeenshire countryside. From the moment I arrived, the scenery, the warm welcome and the atmosphere set the tone for a beautiful day full of music, sunshine and celebration.
I was booked to play throughout the day, which meant being part of so many memorable moments. From setting the scene as guests arrived, to playing Aimee down the aisle, to a lively drinks reception on the lawn and finally a big sax entrance into the wedding breakfast.
Aimee made her entrance to a gorgeous slow piano version of Accidentally in Love and the signing included I’ll Be There for You and What a Wonderful World. The couple then walked back up the aisle to the Counting Crows’ original of Accidentally in Love, the perfect upbeat moment!
The sun came out for a fun drinks reception on the lawn, with tunes like Love Story, Don’t Stop Me Now, Pink Pony Club, and of course Jubel keeping everyone smiling (and dancing!).
The celebrations ramped up again as Aimee & Alasdair made their entrance to I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston an electric moment that had napkins flying and everyone cheering them in.
